The last time MMA fans bet on UFC action with this steep a favorite, the result came as a bit of a surprise. Now at UFC 163, the Korean Zombie, Chan-Sung Jung, will look to pull one over on the heavily-favored featherweight champion Jose Aldo.
Still reeling from Anderson Silva’s shocking loss to Chris Weidman less than a month ago, fight fans are treading lightly when it comes to the 22/1 Aldo. While the defending champion’s credentials are unquestioned, his challenger has become a bit of a wild card of late.
Not only has Chan-Sung emerged as a legitimate striking threat, he’s also made a case for himself as one of the most exciting draws on the MMA circuit. Whether or not he comes away with an upset victory over Aldo this weekend, the fight could well go down as the best of the night.
That may not help those looking to nail down their UFC wagering strategy, but it makes for a must-watch event.
Elsewhere on the fight card at UFC 163 are Lyoto Machida (-350) and Phil Davis (+265), as well as Cezar Ferreira (-450) and Thiago Santos (+325).
