Tim Howard, also know as T-Ho, in the footballing circles among the Everton and US camp has admitted that it will be a strange feeling trying to keep out current Everton FC team mates in Lukaku, Mirallas and ex team mate and Manchester United midfielder Maroune Fellaini. T-Ho is also aware that Lukaku is yet to break his duck in this years’ World Cup, and has made it clear that he does not want to be on the receiving end of his team mates’ first goal. “I am aware that Lukaku is yet to score in the world cup, but he has had a similiar run for Everton, whereby he did not manage to find the net for a long time, but he came out of that period with all guns blazing and it will not affect him mentally’, admitting that besides being a handful with such a physical presence, he possesses great mental strength that could be the key for Belgium.
“They have super talent, you look at the win whereby they played some reserves, but they also won with ten men’, a thinkful Howard has stated. ‘They could hurt you as all players are capable of rotating positions , whereby if Mirallas or Maertens attacks from the left, Hazard can come in from the right and get into crucial scoring positions.”
The US will rely on the team work, work ethic and try to find a break during the game where they will try to turn the game around. The US are aware that they will have their moments during the game, and with the work ethic from Bradley and Jones in the middle of the park, they could go on and create something special. No doubt, they are full of confidence after qualifying from their group, and that Klinnsmann has already told the players’ family to extend the flight ticket from Brazil. Whether Klinnsmann delivers on the most important stage of all, is still to be seen, but the US are going into the game confident and with the insider information of T-Ho, who knows what may happen ?
