Buffalo Bills @ Indianapolis Colts – Sunday November 25, 2012 1:00PM EST
When the best online betting sites cannot agree on which of the four starting rookie quarterbacks is the best, then that is good for the NFL. The Indianapolis Colts felt that it had a winner in Andrew Luck, and it turns out that Indy was right. But, much to the surprise of everyone, the Colts also hit home runs on the rookie wide receivers and running backs it chose in 2012 as well. This is a young team that is already very good, and it will only get better as the years go by. There is a lot to be excited about in Indianapolis.
The Buffalo Bills is coming off of a win over bitter division rival Miami, but there is still concern in Western New York. The online casino bettors watched as the Buffalo Bills got into the Miami red zone several times and could not score a single offensive touchdown. Even Buffalo wide receiver Stevie Johnson acknowledged that it was great for the Bills to get the win, but the lack of production in the red zone is something that the team needs to be concerned about. Buffalo faces a defense in Indianapolis that can cause the Bills the same problems it had with the Dolphins.
This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Colts, but someone forgot to tell Indianapolis. The betting sites also note that the Colts have the added distraction of its head coach’s battle with leukemia. As head coach Chuck Pagano continues his successful recovery from the disease, he is watching his team develop into a championship caliber squad. The Colts will have to deal with an improved Buffalo defense that is finally showing the promise it was supposed to have when the season started. But a sputtering Buffalo offense should be no problem for the Colts.
The reason the Bills spent a lot of money on defense is because the team thought it was set on offense. But quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has failed to regain the productivity that earned him a $60 million last season. Now the football betting experts are wondering if the Bills will make good on its threat to draft a quarterback in 2013 that could immediately replace the ineffective Fitzpatrick. In the meantime, the Bills will have to find a way to get the ball downfield against the Colts, and that will probably involve healthy doses of Buffalo running backs Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller.
The Bottom Line
This will be a game where the Bills will need more than its running game to win, but the running game is all it will have. The Colts’ defense has become extremely good at containing running backs, which leaves Ryan Fitzpatrick to try and win this game for the Bills.
