The NBA playoffs are now underway and the Golden State Warriors have been put up against the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets were able to win their last game on Saturday to take game one of the series, and will be playing at home on Tuesday night for game to. Many sports books are assuming that the Nuggets will take down the Warriors will relative ease; however, the Nuggets were only able to take down the Warriors by two points. This game will probably be a high scoring affair as Denver is listed to win by at least eight points and the over/under is set at 207.
The Nuggets finished first overall in the NBA in points per game and boasted an amazing 57-25 record overall. At home the Nuggets fair incredibly well holding a 38-3 record, and many sports betting sites are favoring the Nuggets to continue their home winning ways. Andre Iguodala leads the team in assists and steals, while Wilson Chandler leads in rebounds and blocks. Between the two, they should be able to shut down the Warrior offense. The Nuggets also have the advantage in that David Lee is out for the rest of the playoffs, significantly denting the Warrior offense. All the Nuggets need to do is focus on shutting down the rest of the team, and do not allow themselves to succumb to over confidence. At home the Nuggets should have no issues, but the fans will not tolerate anything but a win at home.
Golden State Warriors
After losing game one, the Warriors got even worse news as they learned that forward David Lee tore his right hip flexor and will be out for the rest of the season. Many betting sites are not giving the Warriors a chance now, especially with game two being played in Denver. On the road the Warriors are only 19-22, which does not give them very good odds going into the Nugget house. When David Lee has been out the Warriors do not win games. During his time with the team, Lee has missed 21 games of which the Warriors won three of them.
Many online betting sites are not going to give the Warriors the edge in this series. Especially with Lee out for the rest of the playoffs, the Warriors do not have the skill to take down the mighty Nuggets. However, the Nuggets could use this to their disadvantage and get last for game two allowing the Warriors to steal the game.
