The season just started last week, and the Blue Jays are already finding themselves at the bottom of the AL East standings. Meanwhile, the Detroit Tigers aren’t fairing much better at the bottom of the AL Central division.
Toronto Blue Jays
After losing an embarrassing game against Boston last week, the Blue Jays are hoping to regain some composure to get them through the rest of the season. They are currently 2-4, and will be starting their series with the Tigers this week. The Blue Jays will be starting Brandon Morrow in hopes that he can do more than R.A. Dickey did his first two tries out.
The Tigers will be looking for a win as badly as the Jays are. They are currently 3-3, which isn’t awful, but they still find themselves at the bottom of the AL Central. The Tigers have history on their side, as they have won 4 out of their six meetings last year. The Tigers will be starting Anibal Sanchez in hopes to keep Toronto down.
Many sportsbooks and sports betting sites know that this will be a close game. Toronto is desperate for a win to get them back into contention, but in typical Blue Jay fashion it won’t come easy.
