3/10/2014 Thursday night football-Vikings vs Packers

The Minnesota Vikings visit the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football. Teddy Bridgewater passed for 317 yards and ran for a touchdown in his first career start and the Vikings rode a resurgent running game to beat the Atlanta Falcons 41-28 on Sunday. Matt Asiata had 20 carries for 78 yards and three touchdowns and Jerick McKinnon rushed 18 times for 135 yards.

Bridgewater had to leave the game with a sprained left ankle and the Vikings are hoping that they won’t have to start their third quarterback in as many weeks.

Aaron Rodgers threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns and the Packers shook off one of their worst offensive performances in years with a 38-17 victory over the Bears on Sunday.

The Packers scored on their first six possessions to build a 38-17 lead and racked up 358 yards after being held to 223, their lowest total since 2008, a week earlier in a 19-7 loss against the Lions.

Randall Cobb had seven catches for 113 yards and Jordy Nelson had 10 receptions for 108 yards to help the Packers come away with the win despite allowing 496 yards.

Aaron Rodgers has dominated the Vikings in his career, throwing for 27 touchdowns and four interceptions for a 117.9 passer rating, far above his 105.1 career average in 12 starts against them and one of the keys to this game is the matchup between Rodgers and the Vikings pass defense.

The Packers have the worst defense against the run in the league (175.8 rushing yards per game). The Bears ran for 235 yards on 41 carries in last Sunday’s loss, just as the Vikings ran at will in their win against the Falcons (241 rushing yards on 44 carries), which means that the Vikings have a good chance to win if they can establish their running game against the Packers run defense.

Vikings +9 (-110), +330

Packers -9 (-110), -410

Total: 47½
